| Every time I turn on the radio, I hear Bacsiks' "dumb voice" in the morning, afternoon and deep into the night. It's not that he doesn't occasionally make good points, but that voice annoys me to the point of changing stations. He's even doing commercials now (the sponsors using his voice-overs may as well give away free leprosy to their clientele). I can't enjoy Norm anymore which is a total shame, and Bacsik filling in for the hardline is simply unlistenable. Let him produce (off air) and let him do diamond talk, but please Jesus (Catman), don't let dumb voice dominate all day. |

Yes, dunnwiames, I agree.
Even though he (Mike Basik) does make good sports points, it's as if The Ticket pulled some guy off the street on his way to his job at Walmart and put him behind a microphone.
And yes, his voice does have an annoying quality to it - at least in regards for someone on the radio. I am not sure if it's his voice that is the problem or if it is the way he talks. He has an odd tone of voice and he talks in a sort of a monotone kind of way... a kind of emotionless quality to his voice and speech. His voice and the way he talks just sounds boring and awkward. His personality in general comes across as boring.
Sorry, Mike, if you are reading this. Nothing personal. If you were just a regular dude working along aside of me at the factory, I wouldn't think anything one way or the other in regards to your voice & personality. But this is big time radio. Not everybody has the total package it takes to be in the big show.
As for Norm, I have a hot sports opinion of him as well (see the Norm section of this forum). |

I hate Bacsik as much as the next person but how does his voice annoy you yet you enjoy Norm? Good Lord. Norm should be the reason you can't listen to Norm. But yeah, Bacsik is unbearable. He sounds permanently hoarse and if he pats himself on the back one more time for being a failed ex-major leaguer I'm gonna break something. With that being said, as horrible as he is, I'll easily take him over the token black man any day. He's completely ruined Bob and Dan for me.
