Bob SturmOriginally from Wisconsin, Bob graduated from Liberty University and started his broadcasting career in Lynchburg, Virginia. He eventually came to Dallas in 1998, where he became the co-host of The Ticket’s night time show. He is affectionately referred to as “The Sturminator.” Bob is often called a “sports bully” on the show because he constantly intimidates his audience and guests with his encyclopedic sports knowledge, declaring that he’s not “just some dude in the next cubicle over.” Bob also hosts the Dallas Cowboys pre-game show with Super Bowl MVP Larry Brown, as well as the Dallas Stars post-game show with Dan McDowell. Bob’s Blog is updated daily.
Dan McDowell
Dan is Bob’s counterpart and is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and graduated with a degree in Communications with a minor in Sports Science from Ohio University. He hosted a midday show in Youngstown, Ohio, and eventually moved to Dallas in 1999 to become the host of the The Ticket’s midday show. It is well known amongst P1 lore that Dan brings the funny, while Bob brings the lunch pail. Dan’s idea of funny includes the death of Barbaro and inserting himself into all Bob’s stories.
Dan is currently actively pursuing the title of “Father of the Year” by withholding any form of sweets, treats, or possible “gateway toys” such as water pistols or yo-yo’s from his pre-tweenaged daughters.
Donovan Lewis
Donovan is the show’s “Yuk-Monkey” in the Ticket lexicon, and delivers the show’s opening punchline. He transferred to “The Ticket” in 2006 after working for sister station KDBN “93.3 The Bone”, where he was known as “The Bone Brotha.” He is known to his audience on “The Ticket” as “The Great Donovan,” “Donnie-Doo”, or “Stink”. A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Donnie has several regular segments, including Daily Donovan, where he visits a variety of sports and sports-related topics, Ask a Black Guy, and Ghetto Jeopardy.
Jake KempSince March of 2014, Jake has been the producer of BaD Radio. Before that, he spent two years as their board op. He is from the Fort Worth area, and lives there now. He thinks space exploration is a waste of time and resources. He thinks the Cowboys will win 14 games every season, and that Mark Cuban has really never made a wrong decision. He co-hosts “The Shake Joint” Sunday mornings from 8-11 a.m., as well as the Mavericks post game show after every home Mavs crushing of their inferior opponents. His primarily role on the show is to participate in T-fueled arguments with Bob and Dan.
