Norm-a-thon 12 Days of Christmas | 2013 Norm-a-thon Car Raffle and Auction Prizes!

The show will go all day from 6 a. m. to midnight on Thursday, December 26th with all proceeds benefiting the Austin Street Center, the finest homeless facility perhaps in the entire country.

Here’s a rundown of the ever-expanding list of people who’ll be at Starpower Dec. 26 as LIVE and in-person guests during the 13th annual What-a-burger Norm-a-thon benefitting the Austin Street Centre for the Homeless.

  • 8:10 p. m.—Ticket talk show host Donovan Lewis
  • 10:50 p. m.–Mavs play-by-play announcer Mark Followill

Be there as Norm does 18 consecutive hours on air with big, big name guests and major auction items throughout the show that you will not want to miss. You will want to stop by for terrific door prizes for those who show up at Starpower and contribute at the door.

To date, Norm-a-thon has raised nearly $1.75 million in its 12 year history, including a record $235,000 last year. Make sure you are there with us for Norm-a-thon as we shatter last year’s record mark!!

This years feature car is a 2013 ATS 2.5L Sedan Crystal Red with Black interior worth $35,000. Crest Cars of Plano has again provided a spectacular vehicle to be auctioned off as the centerpiece of the 13th annual Norm-a-thon Dec. 26 on Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket. Listeners can purchase raffle tickets in the amount of $100 each with the prize being a fabulous 2013 Cadillac ATS sedan. This 2.5L turbo is the flagship vehicle of the Cadillac fleet and comes equipped with all the fantastic “bells and whistles” that Cadillac has become famous for. This ATS is crystal red with black leather interior and comes complete with Cadillac’s acclaimed CUE system, a Bose premium audio system, luxury items far too numerous to fully list and gets 30 miles per gallon in highway driving. The Ticket will sell a total of only 1500 raffle tickets and at that point will cut off ticket sales meaning that a person who buys just a single ticket has, at worst, odds of just 1500-1 of being the winner of this gorgeous, new Cadillac ATS. The Norm-a-thon, features Ticket sports talk show host Norm Hitzges broadcasting for 18 consecutive hours starting at 6 a. m. on Dec. 26 from Starpower at the Tollway and Arapaho in Richardson. The winning ticket will be drawn live on the air at Starpower at 9:10 on the day of the broadcast. Tickets can be purchased using credit cards by going through the secure channel at austinstreet.org/normathon.

There will be several terrific door prizes given away at Starpower in conjunction with the 13th annual What-a-burger Norm-a-thon on Dec. 26. Any one contributing $50 or more at the door when they enter Starpower at any time during the show (6 a. m. to midnight) becomes eligible to win one of the following prizes:

  1. A package of SIX $100 dollar gift certificates from the restaurants and bars on Lower Greenville Avenue. These are the businesses that sponsor the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dallas . The person lucky enough to have his or her name drawn as the winner of this prize gets $100 gift certificates to each of the following:

2013 Norm-a-thon Car Raffle and Auction Prizes!

On Dec. 26 at Starpower (Tollway and Arapaho in the SE quadrant) the 13th annual What-a-burger Norm-a-thon will again offer six incredible items on which we’ll take bids throughout the day. This year’s list is the most remarkable in the history of the event. Starting at 6 a. m. and continuing until EXACTLY 10 p.m. we’ll accept telephone bids on all items. The number to call to bid is 214-389-7770. At precisely 10 o’clock we will shut off the phones and declare the highest bidder for each item and then announce those winners (first name only) live on the broadcast from Starpower.

  1. Let’s go to the track! Lone Star Park has donated a luxury suite for 25 people for a mutually agreeable racing date during Lone Star’s 2014 live thoroughbred racing season. This gorgeous suite includes: admission for 25 people, racing programs, 7 free valet parking passes and food AND beverage service (including alcohol) complete with your own in-suite bartender! Norm Hitzges will conduct a racing seminar starting 35 minutes before the first race and stays in the suite with the group through the first several races on the card. Lone Star’s season starts April 10 and concludes July 12 with races every Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
