The Mavericks are apparently looking to re-sign JJ Barea. The Timberwolves plan to cut Barea before 5 today, and with his salary, he’s widely expected to clear waivers. Dallas has a full roster themselves, so they’ll likely move or release Gal Mekel or Greg Smith. The Mavs open the season tomorrow against San Antonio.
