Stars Health Decimated in Win Over Panthers

The Stars lost three forwards in their 2-0 victory over Florida at home yesterday. Ales Hemsky left the game in the first period with an undisclosed lower body injury. In the third period, Tyler Seguin suffered a knee injury after being clipped by Panthers defender Dmitry Kulikov. When play resumed Patrick Eaves suffered a concussion and facial lacerations after taking a John Klingberg slap shot to the face.

This morning Eaves and Seguin were added to the I.R., GM Jim Nill says Seguin could be out three to six weeks; no timeline was given for Eaves, though x-rays showed no facial fractures. Ales Hemsky will avoid I.R., and could return early next week.

To replace Seguin, Hemsky and Eaves, Dallas has recalled Travis Morin and Brett Ritchie from the Texas Stars of the AHL. Healthy scratch Curtis McKenzie could also be moved into the lineup.

Jhonas Enroth will make his first start for the Stars tonight in Denver.
