SMU is ranked in the preseason coaches poll for the second time in program history. They’re number 22 after going to the NIT final last season. Kentucky is number one with Arizona at 2. Kansas tops the Big 12 at number 5, but they’re closely followed by Texas at 10. OU is number 19. This is their first preseason recognition since the 2009-2010 season.
