Just days after making a big trade to acquire him, the Dallas Stars already have to distance from Center Tyler Seguin. Over the weekend Seguin claims hackers break into his Twitter account and send out an offensive tweet. "Only Steers and queers in Texas, and I'm not a cow" is a line from Full Metal jacket. Seguin apologizes and says he'll close his Twitter account temporarily.
The Stars issuing the following statement: "In no way, shape, or form does the Dallas Stars organization condone or agree with the message that was sent out through Tyler Seguin's Titter feed last night. We've addressed the issue directly with Tyler and we'll continue to work on educations our players regarding the importance of their conduct on all forms of social media."
It's the second offensive tweet from Seguin's account in four months. He used the term "no homos" back in April and also apologized afterwards. Seguin is to be introduced to the Dallas media at an 11 AM press conference on Tuesday.
