Roster moves for the Texas Rangers before they started their weekend series with the Astros in Houston. Catcher Geovany Soto activated from the 15-day disabled list. He's been sidelined since straining his right groin running the bases on July 21 at Yankee Stadium. To make room for Soto on the active roster, pitcher Jerome Williams has been designated for assignment.
