Elvis Comes up Clutch

Elvis Andrus picks the right time to break out of his 0-for-18 slump. The Rangers shortstop collects a single in the 5th and then the big blow in the 7th. Tied at 1, Andrus rips a double to center off former Ranger reliever Koji Uehara. That scores 2 runs and the Rangers roll on for the 3-2 win over the Red Sox.

Alexi Ogando returns from the DL and makes through 5.2 innings, allowing only a solo home run to Dustin Pedroia. Neal Cotts finishes off the 6th, then is the beneficiary of the Andrus go-ahead double, earning Cotts his first Major League win since July 1, 2006.

Derek Holland starts the series finale in Boston at 6:10 tonight as Texas tries to win another series.
